HOPE of the Grand Valley
HOPE of the Grand Valley's mission is to provide support and a hand up to hard-working parents and their children who and are not receiving welfare, or housing assistance. This is a group that tends to fall through the cracks. These are people trying to break the cycle of poverty and doing their best to get ahead.
It's a situation that creates an uncertain future for both parents and their children.
HOPE of the Grand Valley aims to help these families create a more predictable and stable environment for their children.
6th Annual
Adopt a Family for Christmas Program
2014
Our families are required to complete an application explaining their situation and their family income. We want our families to be making money!
In 2014 again we are focusing on working families. These parents are working but do not have the funds to provide their children Christmas without additional stress to the family.
HOPE of the Grand Valley will receive applications from these families and review each application. Our focus is to fill the gaps with our working parents with children that are struggling to make ends meet. We will be leaving invitations to apply at our local business with minimum wage employees.
If you know of a family in need, please encourage them to apply for
Adopt a Family for Christmas.
Families will be chosen by qualifications below as we are doing our best to fill the gap and helping our under employed families
Qualifications include:
- There must be children under the age of 14 in the family
- They are NOT receiving welfare assistance, housing or tanf.
- We do allow our families to be receiving Child Health Plans
- One or both parents must have a full time job;
- a copy of most recent pay stub is required with application
- Low-income families
e. They are NOT receiving assistance from other Christmas programs such as Toys for Tots or the Salvation Army. HOGV will be working along side both of these agencies to insure we are not duplicating services.
