Honors Geometry Teacher: Mr. Anderson

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Geometry is the study of shapes. In this course your child will study mathematical concepts that are connected to geometric shapes and the proper vocabulary needed to communicate these ideas. Students will be using computers as well as simple measuring devices to explore these shapes. The “honors” level will involve more complex algebraic connections to the geometric concepts and the mathematical proof of geometric theorems. All students in this course will take the Geometry Standards of Learning Test.

CLASS MATERIALS:

laptop computer

a notebook of any kind

pencil or pen

scientific calculator
