Honors Geometry Review Project

Task: Along with your group members, create an original interpretation of the material learned in your assigned chapter. Your project should demonstrate your understanding of at least 5 main chapter concepts and should be helpful to the class for review. Each group is responsible for presenting their project to the class the day before the Chapter Test is given.

Requirements:

Each review project will be scored in four areas:

1. Creativity & Originality (10 points)

2. Correct use of at least 5 chapter concepts (10 points)

3. Presentation to the class (10 points)

4. A written component (outlined below) – THIS MUST BE TYPED! (10 points)

Suggested Projects:

1. Review Game:

Create a review game that we can play for 15-20 minutes in class.

Written Component: Summary of the game and directions to play it.

2. Song/Music Video:

Re-write the lyrics to a song and perform it for the class or create your own original song and music to go along with it. You must have music/CD player/instrument to accompany the song.

3. Skit/Movie:

Perform a skit or make a movie to show in class. (4-5 minutes)

4. Children’s Story Book:

Write and illustrate a children’s story book.

5. Other:

All other ideas must be approved by your teacher at least 5 days prior to your deadline.

*It is the group’s responsibility to check that all technology that is needed for your project is compatible with classroom equipment at least 2 days prior to the due date.

**A very small amount of class time will be allotted for groups to work on their project. You will need to work together outside of class to complete the project. Groups are encouraged to attend after school help sessions during their assigned chapter so that they can work on the project and receive teacher feedback.
