1) Degree Evaluation
Your degree evaluation is a very important and helpful tool! It shows you how to track your academic progress, specifically showing you what requirements you have met or have yet to meet. In order in which they appear, your degree evaluation shows:
· General Education Requirements
· Prerequisites for Intended Major
· Free Electives (if applicable)
· Major Requirements (unless major is limited access or selective admissions)
To access your degree evaluation, Log in to your My Wings. Under your “Student” tab you will see a display box that says “My Records”. Find and click on the “Degree Evaluation” link.
Please view this Degree Evaluation tutorial for more information: http://www.unf.edu/ace/advising/degree_evaluation.aspx
2) Osprey Map
Your Osprey Map is a course sequence guide that provides you with a sample schedule, customized to individual majors, which you can follow to meet your requirements and graduate on time. Keep in mind that you do not have to follow the Osprey Map exactly; it is there as a guide to help you stay on track.
To view your Osprey Map, Log in to your My Wings. Under your “Student” tab, you will see a display box that says “My Records”. Find the “My Osprey Map” link directly underneath the “Degree Evaluation” link.

3) General Education Requirements
You need 36 General Education credits. To view options: http://www.unf.edu/uploadedFiles/aa/ace/General%20Education_2014_2015.pdf
If you have credits from high school or another institution or have otherwise “tested out” of general education courses, you can access your Degree Evaluation to see which courses are already fulfilled, and which courses still need to be fulfilled.
You can also access your unofficial student transcript in your My Wings to see your academic progress. Find your student transcript in Student Self Service in My Wings.
4) Pre-Requisites
To view pre-requisite classes for your intended major, view the following link: http://www.unf.edu/uploadedFiles/aa/ace/Prerequisites%20and%20Foundation%20Courses%20for%20Intended%20Major.pdf
Pay attention to which courses also count for general education credit. For example, if you are a Business major, STA 2023 is a pre-requisite, but it also fulfills 3 credits of General Education math.
5) University Catalog
If you are interested in learning what courses are required for specific majors, check out the University Catalog of Undergraduate Programs. It contains a list of majors and minors within each college, and tells you what is required for each major. Keep in mind that if you have specific questions regarding a major you may want to call that department directly.
