Honors Chemistry Term 2 Syllabus

The table below lists the assignments, in class activities, exams, and labs that will be completed during term 2 by students in general chemistry. This plan, including due dates, will undoubtedly change as the term progresses to meet the needs of the students. This plan is in place to give students and their parents a general idea of what goes on in chemistry during the term. For an up to date schedule parents and students should visit the class Canvas chemistry site. Canvas reflects a student’s most current grade and course work. Alternatively, parents are encouraged to communicate directly with Mrs. Schambach by email.

The reading assignments listed in the 4th column refer to sections within the Discovery Education Techbook or are direct links to additional background information. The links can be accessed in Canvas.

The numbers in parenthesis correspond to the approximate point value for each assignment. In addition to the assignments below students earn 5 points each class period when they arrive and begin their work on time. Students also turn in their notebooks for a grade on most test and quiz days. The point value for a notebook grade ranges from 75 to 150 points.
