The Final Exam is actually on the material covered after the midterm; the exam is 25% of the 4th marking period Test Assessment Grade.
Assessments
Chapter/Unit Tests 50 -120 points (Average 80 points) **Note highest grade = A+
65% of your grade
Quizzes 5 points (2 lowest dropped/quarter) questions from tests
10% of your grade
Quests 10-20 points (Will fall under Test Assessments which is 65%
of your grade)
Labs 5 - 35 points
15% of your grade which will be under classwork
Homework 5 points (Nightly- rare occasion not to have homework)
10% of your grade
Research/Presentations 30 - 80 points (Will be considered part of your Test
Assessments)
Classwork 5 - 10 points (will be grouped with labs which is 15% of your
Grade)

***Note a Grade Sheet is sent home at the time of interims and at the end of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Marking Periods to be signed.
Extra School Help
-Official School Clinic Days Tuesday and Thursday 2:15 - 3:00 PM; no appointment necessary.
-Other Days - 2:15 - 3:00 PM with appointment
Student Expectations:
-Be respectful of yourself, peers, teacher, and classroom
-Maintain a positive attitude
-Complete nightly homework
-If absent check website for homework and for worksheets. Turn in any work that was checked or graded upon your return. See me to schedule any missed labs etc.
-Expect to take any missed tests upon your return with exception of extended absences.
-When struggling with concepts or content seek clinic ASAP.
-Textbooks must be covered; occasionally they will need to be brought to class. We do have a class set.
-Be sure to come to class everyday with pencil, blue or black pen, and with a red pen. Ideally you should have an individual notebook for Biology with pockets to hold labs and worksheets. Keep your notebook organized.
-Do not send me assignments electronically and expect me to print them out.
