STUDY HALL / TUTORING:

Tutoring will be possible Tuesday/Thursday from 7:20-8:10 and 3:40 until 4:30 (unless a conflict arises, such as parent conference or an emergency).

MAKE-UP WORK:

Missing grades are counted as a “0” until made up. I do not accept late work. Make-up work is due in a timely manner and only accepted if the absence is excused. Students are given the number of consecutive days absent plus one(1) to make up any graded work. Quizzes may be announced, unannounced, or take-home. In-class quizzes may not be made up - the related unit test will replace that missing grade. Student’s gradeswill be updated weekly.

CLASSWORK:

GPS Adv Algstudents are expected to be highly motivated, achievement-oriented students. Although you will not be graded on all daily work and homework, you are expected to complete all assignments thoroughly. Work may be spot checked for completion and/or accuracy. Sometimes homework quizzes may be given.

ATTENDANCE:

Regular attendance is expected for success. If you are absent, you will miss work that will not be retaught upon your return. It is your responsibility to copy all notes and complete all missed assignments. It is NOT the teachers’ responsibility to teach it again. Students can check the blog for missed notes and assignments. We recommend that each student have a buddy in class to assist with getting missed assignments and notes. Students have the total number of consecutive days absent plus one(1) to make up any graded work.

EXTRA CREDIT/RETESTING:

Individual extra credit assignments are not given. Students will be given an opportunity to retest for mastery on each standard. Retest opportunities will only be given after a student completes remediation on a standard.

Extra Credit WILL NOT be given to replace any existing grades.
