MDRRMC RESOLUTION NO. 03-2012

A RESOLUTION AFTER HAVING BEEN CONDUCTED A POST ASSESSMENT JOINTLY CONDUCTED BY THE REGIONAL/PROVINCIAL/LOCAL DSWD AND THE MDRRMC TEAM TO EXTEND FINANCIAL CASH ASSISTANCE TO THE VICTIMS OF WHIRLWIND “IPO-IPO” THAT HITS COASTAL BARANGAYS OF JAGNA PARTICULARLY IN CAN-UPAO, BUNGA MAR, CANTAGAY AND IPIL ON JULY 27, 2012.

WHREREAS, at 10:45 in the morning of July 27, a whirlwind or “ipo-ipo” shocked the people of Jagna as it moved over the 4 coastal barangays of Can-upao, Bunga Mar, Cantagay and Ipil leaving a wake of damaged houses and bancas. The “ipo-ipo” finally dissipated into the sea.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council led by the town’s Mayor Atty. Fortunato R. Abrenilla and Vice Mayor Exuperio C. Lloren immediately responded to the call for help of the affected families. Intake damaged assessment was jointly conducted by the regional,provincial, local department of social and development office in collaboration with the members of MDRRMC;

WHEREAS, the post assessment result released by the assessment team will be the basis for the extend of financial assistance that categorized into totally damaged and partially damaged houses and fishing boats;

NOW WHEREFORE, on motion of Ms. MarcionilaReyes and duly seconded by Mr. Vicente L. Orias Be it,

RESOLVED, that a financial assistance could be extended to the victims of the whirlwind incidence taken from the 2012 annual budget aid to disaster victims; An amount of Five Thousand Pesos (P 5,000.00) to the totally damaged houses and fishing boats and One Thousand Pesos (P 1,000.00) to the partially damaged houses and fishing boats.
