The acceleration due to gravity at the Grwxypian surface is 5.67 m/s2 down.Zaxnar throws a probe at an angle 20° up from south with an initial speed of 2.13 m/s. How long does it take for the probe to hit the Grwxypian surface? With what speed does the probe hit the surface? How far south of the hovercraft does it land? Ignore any wind resistance.

When Commander Zaxnar’s probe hits the surface of Grwxyp, it triggers a tractor beam which is part of the Grwxypian defense system. The tractor beam causes Zaxnar’s hovercraft to accelerate to the west. The magnitude of that acceleration is given by the formula:

wheret is the time from the turning on of the tractor beam.
