Meeting Minutes
November 11, 2014
The monthly meeting of the Trinity Academy HSA was called to order at 7:37 pm on November 11, 2014 in the school cafeteria.
Opening Prayer
Officer’s Attendance: Co-Presidents: Bill and Jennifer Hoffman, , Recording Secretary: Mary Helen Camporeale, Corresponding Secretary: Michele Carbuccia
General Attendance: Jill Smith, Ava Reynolds, MaryPat Pszcola, Kelly King, Diane McKiernan, Geralyn Rodano, Maria Favata

Principal’s Report:
· Hoping everyone is using the website and facebook to see what is going on.
· Letter for the Reindeer Run went out from Mrs. Cassels
President’s Report:
· Trunk or treat- everyone had a great time! Great feedback from new families!
· Box tops competition – first round is being tallied
· Amazon link – just a reminder to use it! (trinity k8 site and the “ways to give” tab)
· Basketball registration – going forward! Thanks to everyone for registrations!
· Book Fair – volunteers still needed for books and bagels early Friday
· 25th Anniversary gala – 2 meetings have been had. Kelly King is the chair, John Castano is vice chair, Jill Smith is secretary and Cathy Bolger is Treasurer . Letter about what is going on so far will go out next week inviting everyone to next meeting January 21st.
· Spirit wear sales forms will be out shortly. 8th grade didn’t want the proceeds from this so the money from the sales will go the 25th anniversary committee.
· Santa Shoppe dates were changed to Tuesday and Wednesday 15th and 16th. Jane Mulvihill is the contact person for this event.
· Miss Sweeney was honored for her 20 years of service and the HSA gave her a gift card and a note and she gave us a very nice thank you!
· HSA invested in 40 table linens for the tricky tray, may crowning, open house…whatever we would need linens for.
· Moms night out – Thursday November 20th – Verona Inn 7:30
Vice President’s Reports:
· Tricky Tray meeting – Monday November 24th at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria.
o Increasing value of baskets
o Reaching out to the community for donations
· Reindeer Run
o Increase in Trinity Families since Mrs. Cassels
o We have our last committee meeting November 18th at Tierneys
o We have 14 vendors confirmed at this time which is great
o Santa is all set
o Reindeer spirit day on December 2nd
o One day sale for the fabulous hats the Tuesday before the run
o Team building has raised about $2500
o Special letter to the pre-K really talking about the Jingle Jam portion of the event
Corresponding Secretary’s Report:
· Email is coming out tomorrow for reindeer run
· Eblast will be changed to go out Sunday night at 7:00pm instead of Monday mornings
Social/Cultural/Spiritual :
· .Kristi Castano suggested HugaTuga
· AnnMarie Brasco – wrote a book “Sweeties” – she also does a blog, writes for NJ.com. She may come here to do tailored presentations for each grade. She brings the illustrator with her too. Maybe a good idea for CSW.
· CSW – we need to start to think about it. We need speakers for the masses and some quotes for the bulletins from the kids. CSW – logo is the same for next 2 years
· Archbishop Hebda is coming Febrary 6th for the first Friday mass.
o This should be a big deal
o Invitations?
o Music – maybe a whole school rehearsal?
o Archbishop comes with his entourage of servers and such
o Photographer?
o FNB Catering?
Marketing:
· Open Houses – we have 11 prospective new students for next year.
· More Open Houses for the year – 2 in the winter maybe 1 or 2 in the Spring
· Diocese is coming in to look at records back to 1950 – to make sure we have current addresses for everyone and then have a nice database to go to going forward.
Additional Comments/Questions:
· Powerschool – do teachers have a time frame to put info into the program?
o Yes they do – but it was down for a few days.
· Directory is being published in another color and should be out very soon
· Gelotti’s
· Father Daughter Dance for Girl Scouts opened up to whole school fathers/daughtersJ
· Jackals Tickets – Trinity Day maybe? Matt Julian (Trinity Alumni now works for Jackals)
· Enrichment – running club is ending, chess club will begin. Also, swimming and the tablet.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:45pm. Next meeting is scheduled for December 9th in the cafeteria at 7:30pm
