37.5 hours pw, two weekly rolling rota

What you need to be a Home Manager:

An opportunity has arisen for aHome Manager to run a six bed residential home thatsupportsyoung adults with autism and learning disabilities. In this role you will have overall responsibility for the home, for which the right candidate will be supported to become registered with CQC.

This role involves leading and inspiring two teams of staff to provide outstanding, truly personalized care to the people we support. To lead from the front some hands on support will be required and you will also have responsibility for staff supervisions and overseeing training.

Importantly you will need to be an excellent communicator who can maintain strong working relationships with people at all levels from the people we support,their families, staff and other professionals. You will also need to be confident in chairing meetings and well organised as you will be responsible for overseeing administration and record keeping.

Ultimately the post really requires an outstanding manager. The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience of working with adults with challenging behavior
  • Proven track record of successful home management
  • Sound knowledge of CQC and Care Standards
  • As a minimum, Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Desirable:

  • Registered with CQC
  • NVQ Level 4
