THE KING’S ROYAL HUSSARS TERCENTENARY DINNER – SATURDAY 4 JULY 2015

To celebrate the Tercentenary of three of our constituent regiments (10th, 11th and 14th Hussars),an Officers’ Dinnerwill be held in the Ballroom of the Dorchester Hotel on Saturday 4thJuly 2015. Dress for serving officers is Mess Kit, for retired officers it is Black Tie with miniatures. Wives, partners and widows are invited and encouraged to attend to ensure that the dinner is a family celebration of an important Regimental milestone. Outline timings for the evening are:

  • 1930 hrs Champagne Reception
  • 2015 hrs Dinner
  • 2200 hrs Dinner complete
  • 2200 hrs Band plays first set
  • 0100 hrs Carriages

The evening will start with a champagne reception (1½ glasses per person), followed by a three course dinner, which includes wine (½ bottle per person), coffee and dancing tocost £100 per person.

We encourage you to make up your own table; tables seat 12 people. If you gather together a larger group we will try to ensure that your tables are next to each other or in close proximity. Please complete the attached form with as much detail as possible so that we can accommodate your wishes as best we can; should you not decide to organise your own table we will endeavour to sit you with your regimental contemporaries. Please provide us with any details that may be able to help us with this task.

The Ballroom has a maximum capacity of 528 people. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Once 528 tickets have been sold a reserve list will be established in case of cancellations. Individual ticket applications will be acknowledged and tickets confirmed; please do not assume you have tickets unless you have received confirmation.No refunds will be possible after Friday 19th June 2015. The confirmed programme for the evening will be sent out with your ticket.

Please return the attached formwith your cheque/BACS paymentfor £100per person as soon as possible (certainlyno later thanMonday 2nd March 2015).

Cheques are to be made payable to ‘The King’s Royal Hussars Dinner Fund’.

It is also possible for you to pay by BACS transfer. It is essential that your transaction is referenced with your name and initials so that the payment can be identified; an obscure business account will mean nothing to the Regimental Secretary when he checks on-line.
