Title:THE BENEFITS OF SEEKING GOD

Scripture Text: Proverbs 8:17-21

INTRODUCTION

If you want to have your treasuries filled, you must seek God diligently. When you are diligent in what you do, you find success. Seek divine wisdom from God in order to succeed in whatever you do. God’s wisdom gives you the edge in your craft. In Matthew 6:33, the Bible says: “seek ye first the kingdom of God ….” God gives you riches and honour that are enduring.

2 Chronicles 26:5-8

V 5- King Uzziah understood that even though he was king, he needed to seek God

V 6 -When you seek God, make a move- Uzziah went out and warred against the enemies, life is a war and there are battles to fight. Break down the walls around your life- the walls will not come down unless you step out. Be ready to fight and do what God has called you to do. Uzziah built cities. You need to build the kingdom because the kingdom is bigger than you.

V7- God will help you when you seek Him- God helps you in a world that may not like you. He is a Helper.

V 8- People will bring tribute to you- The Ammonitesbrought tribute to Uzziah

Things you need to know

When you seek God, you find the things you are looking for in life - Proverbs 8:35

When you find Jesus, you find life - John 11:25

Wealth that makes you lose your mind is not worth the weight

Wealth that comes with honour is worth the weight- this is the wealth we should desire

Diligence will bring prosperity, posterity and integrity

Righteousness means doing things right

Things you need to do

Ask God for divine direction- seek Him diligently

Seek the God who gives wealth instead of seeking wealth

Use the riches and honour God gives you to advance the kingdom of God- don’t store it up for yourself

CONCLUSION

When you seek God, honour will find you. When you are famous, your life becomes an open book. The fame that comes from God comes with His protection. May God cause your fame to go beyond borders and may you be exceedingly strong in 2018. May God cause people to bring tribute to you in 2018 and may people who wanted your demise come and dance and rejoice with you. Seek God with diligence this year and see what He will do for you!
