PURPOSE:
The purpose of a software support position is to create and maintain an in-house level of proficiency with the CIMS data management system and develop consistent input practices for all staff inputting data. This position will attend regular industry training in order to fully understand the latest capabilities of this systems software and how they can be best applied to the administrative processes of this agency. Ideally this position will be filled through a competitive internal hiring process as a working knowledge of HCSS internal intake, assessment, data entry and scheduling processes is essential. This individual will be seconded from their regular HCSS position as required to fill this role and will be paid an hourly rate commensurate with the demands and qualifications of this position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical and Procedural Support:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive manual of CIMS capabilities as they relate to HCSS administrative requirements and operations;
- Attend industry training on a regularly scheduled basis;
- Download and install CIMS builds as they become available;
- Act as a resource to the Management Team and research electronic solutions to LHIN and HCSS reporting requirements;
- Create and maintain a training manual for all Team Clerks;
- Provide orientation and on-going training to all Team Clerks in order to ensure consistent data input across all input sources;
- Troubleshoot solutions to CIMSissues identified by fellow staff;
- Keep the Management Team up to date on issues affecting optimal use of the CIMS software system;
General Responsibilities:
- Seeks ongoing education opportunities which will enhance knowledge pertinent to role
- Maintains confidentiality.
- The ability and wilingness to travel to all HCSS locations as required and attend industry training;

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post secondary diploma in Business and/or Computer applications.
Proficiency with word processing, data management and accounting software.
Training and/or demonstrated understanding of principles of adult education
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Three to five years experience working within a busy office setting.
Previous experience working with seniors and /or volunteers is an asset.
Current driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
