Though Linda brings nearly 20 years’ experience to her work as a learning professional, she addresses each challenge with a fresh approach. With a deep understanding of how people learn, she is gifted at making complex ideas accessible and practical. In coaching relationships, Linda is insightful and diplomatic in identifying performance challenges and helping individuals to maximize their potential. In workshop settings, she is particularly skilled at pulling the collective wisdom from the group, synthesizing information, and making learning relevant. By focusing intently on customers’ needs in partnership with their organizations, she helps people not simply to learn new content but to perform more effectively in their jobs. Linda is passionate about helping people to learn – whether discovering things about themselves or learning to master new skills. She is a talented consultant and facilitator who enables participants to explore concepts and their own development in unique ways – always with the goal of immediate application.
Biography in Brief
Linda began her career as a corporate trainer and training manager, overseeing multiple projects and managing the development of professional staff. She was employed by an insurance company and later bya human resources consulting firm, both of which served large and diverse customer bases. Consequently, Linda has consulted in many industries, including municipalities, healthcare, insurance, construction, manufacturing, service industries, local and state government, transportation, and non-profit entities. She has been privileged to work with internationally known firms and small, family-owned businesses. In 2001, Linda decided to leverage her experience and energy by establishing her own performance-consulting firm.
Education and Qualifications
Linda earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wake Forest University. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Training and Development from North Carolina State University. She earned and maintains the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation. She is qualified to administer and debrief the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator©, the FIRO-B©, the Change Style Indicator©, the Strengths Deployment Indicator©, and the DiSC Behavioral Profile©.
