GSL Board of Directors Meeting
Date: February 11, 2015
Start: 7:10 p.m.

Representatives from the following organizations:
Amherst, Brattleboro, Capitals, Enfield, FCHA, Ludlow, Holy Name, Nonotuck, Keene, PVL, Westfield, WTM,
OLD BUSINESS:
- Last meeting minutes were accepted with 2 changes-
- Todd wasn’t present
- Teams may suffer not that the games won’t count
- Scheduler’s Report
- Todd is working to finalize the playoff schedule. Several may during the week, they will be spread out.
- Next year we need to look at the schedule better to figure out when we should have playoffs. The state tournament dates are out ahead of time.
- Jeff Brown will donate a trophy he has for the GSL championship games
- Todd let Jeff know that he met with the Springfield Falcons, they will host 2 events for the GSL.
- 3/8 is a 3pm game and all the Mite players can get $13 tickets and wear their jerseys on ice during intermission.
- 3/28 Championship and 2nd place teams are invited down, they will also receive $13 tickets. Championship teams will receive a trophy provided by the Falcons as well as players of 1st and 2nd place teams will receive medals.
- Katie Carzello will represent the GSL at this game
- Treasurer’s Report
- Checking Account has $17,961.52
- Scholarship Account has $1,161.82
- Scholarship checks were sent out on 1/19.
- Statisticians Report
- Missing game sheets….
- Motion was made and accepted to use standings online for the playoff standings.
- Discussion surrounding this decision was that if the home team puts up a wrong score the away team will let them know.
- Board Positions
- Stipends will be looked at by the committee before the next meeting. The committee consist of Sean, Jeff and John. They are going to look at what we paid in the past and what we should be paying.

- State Tournament Director – 300
NEW BUSINESS:
- U10, 12, 14 Girls State Tournament will be 3/20-3/22 at the Olympia.
- Volunteer schedule from last year will be used again, with the acceptation of adding Keene
- A motion to pay the fees up front was made and accepted.
- Junior Crusaders are looking for our GSL teams to contact them to schedule Home and Home games, maybe 5 games a season across the board. They are looking to supplements there schedule within their league not join ours.
- It was requested that coaches look at the penalty minute list and see where there teams come in. This is something that every team can work on to clean up the games.
- There is going to be a hearing for a CAPS coach that threw a hat onto the ice at a tournament game.
- Steve Bradway, Katie Carzello and Justin P said they would join Jeff Brown for this meeting as he needed a panel.

- Motion was made and accepted to follow the same process as last year with the $2000 for the GSL scholarships.

- There was some discussion regarding kids playing up from A teams to B teams on the higher level. Something we can look at in the future. The game that brought it up was within the rules although the organization spoke to their coaches about it.
- The Wright scholarship is $1000, they have new forms and a new address to use. This can be found on the GSL website.
