Contest Rules

General Information

  1. Entry forms can be picked up from the Ohio State University Extension office prior to the application deadline. These forms are to be completed and returned to the OSU Extension office by July 15 at midnight.
  2. The winners will be recognized at the Holmes County Fair on Monday during the King/Queen contest.

Eligibility

  1. Each contestant must be a member of a Holmes County 4-H club.
  2. Must be completing grades 7-12 by May of current year.

Judging Criteria

Applicants will be judged on the following criteria:

  1. Activities: participation, leadership, citizenship, initiative, and achievements as submitted.
  2. Leadership/Citizenship experiences paragraph content.

Awards

  1. The recipient for each category will receive a plaque and a $50 cash award sponsored by the Holmes County Commissioners.
