WRITING

Bonfire Night

One of my favourite special days of the year is Bonfire Night. It takes place on 5th November all over the UK.

To celebrate Bonfire Night people go to watch a bonfire. During the bonfire there are always fireworks too.

The typical food on bonfire night is jacket potatoes or hot soup. People also eat a special kind of toffee called ‘treacle toffee’. It is hard and sweet.

On Bonfire Night people wear warm clothes because it’s always cold – scarves, hats and gloves!

  1. Look at the notes and the text again and answer the questions.

a)How many paragraphs are there in the text?

b)Which information from the notes is in each paragraph?
