Dear Members and Parents

Happy New Year to you all – I hope 2017 is successful in whatever you do. Don’t forget to keep us informed of how you do at competitions, and let us have photos for the website, these should be e-mailed to mbership renewal is due 1st February, please ensure you complete Membership Form and return it to Dawn with payment. We would be very grateful if you could also complete the ‘Gift Aid Declaration’ which helps your pony club enormously.

General – This information is for your safety - Earrings and body piercings must be removed prior to a rally. You will not be allowed to take part if these are not removed. The Pony Club does not make the use of body protectors compulsory except for ALL cross country riding and Pony Racing whether it be training or competing. Body Protectors used for Cross Country and Pony Racing must meet BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (Purple Label). Air vests are not allowed unless a body protector is worn underneath, you will be asked to remove it if you do not wear a body protector. Air Jackets are not encouraged for group rides. If a rider chooses to wear an air jacket in Cross Country or Pony Racing, it must only be used in addition to a normal body protector which meets the BETA 2009 Level 3 standard (purple label). These rules are set by ‘The Pony Club’, to which we must abide. Thank you. All hats MUST be tagged by me, before you take part in a rally, so if you are lucky enough to get a new hat, then please come and see me to get it tagged. All hats MUST conform to standards.

The PAS 015: 1998 or 2011 and the Snell E2001 with the BSI Kitemark as standard - these meet higher impact criteria and therefore give more protection. If you require advice and guidance regarding hat tagging please speak to Pam. Fixed Peak hats are not allowed for XC – Skull Caps cover all disciplines.
