STEM Proposal Development Track
UCF Summer Faculty Development Conference 2015
May 11-14

This track has the objective of developing high quality Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) proposals for submittal to the National Science Foundation and similar funding agencies. The track will provide individualized attention as well as interaction among researchers. A series of interactive sessions will be available to explore preparation of the proposals, such as hypotheses/measurable objectives, addressing broader impact and intellectual merit criteria, and assessment strategies. In your application, please indicate the grant opportunity that you are pursuing and your specific needs for preparing a successful and competitive proposal. This track is connected with UCF's National Science Foundation Innovation through Institutional Integration grant: "The UCF Community Embraces the Knowledge-Based Economy.”

Proposals are due via email to by 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2015. They will be evaluated by ICubed principal investigators based on the following criteria:

·  History of research proposal preparation

·  Relevance of research topic to STEM or STEM education

·  Likelihood of proposal success

Please note: New faculty members will be given priority if the number of proposals exceeds the budget limit.
