Objective: Students will read a historical fiction novel, analyze the book and complete a book report form.

What is Historical Fiction?

  1. A genre of literature that takes place in the past and is characterized by an imaginative reconstruction of historical events and people.
  2. Tells a story set in the past. The setting is usually real and drawn from history. The story may contain actual historical persons, but the main characters tend to be fictional.
