From our office in Alston, proceed up the hill joining the B6277 at the top. Continue on this road for a mile and a half and stay on this road, ignoring the sign to Garrigill. Continue for a further mile passing a small bar and farm entrance on the right. After the farm proceed for approximately 100 yards, where you will see a layby on the right with a track going down signposted ‘Shield Hill’. Go down the track and the house is the first on the right.
