Highlights/ Important Developments for the fortnight from 1.2.2015 to 15.2.2015

  1. Total value of trading at the Commodity Exchanges during the fortnight, 1st February, 2015 to15th February, 2015 was ₹2,66,736.86 crore. The cumulative value of trade from 1stApril, 2014 upto 15th February, 2015 during the financial year 2014-15 was ₹53,92,791.41 crore. The corresponding figures for the previous year were ₹3, 02,608.20 crore and ₹92, 05,771.48 crore respectively.
  2. The Commission on 4th February 2015 permitted NCDEX to trade in Forward contracts viz. Non-transferable Specific Delivery (NTSD) and Transferable Specific Delivery (TSD) at Fixed Price in Gold and Silver.
  3. The Forward Markets Commission organized the following capacity building programmes for the benefit of various stakeholders. The details of the programmes are as follows:
