The school’s annual Open Evening takes place on Thursday 16th October, 6.00pm – 8.oopm. As usual, teachers will be looking for lots of students to help out with activities and show prospective parents around the school. If you would like to help out in any way, please see the teacher you are interested in helping and get a letter to take home.
Online fantasy shares competition: The school is going to register with Student Investor which runs one of the most realistic investment competitions around. It is a step up from last year’s online fantasy shares programme and it allows teams of 4 students to experience the highs and lows of trading a virtual £100,000 on the stock market. Teams will have to make decisions on whether to buy or sell shares by reading the latest stock market news. Anyone who is interested - and you don’t have to have organised a team - please attend the registration meeting in IT1 on Tuesday 30th September or speak to Mr Callear or Mrs Finch for further details. Please see the flyer that is attached to the bulletin.
Bookies Book Club: Have you a love of reading and books? If you have, then come along to our fun book club. We meet on a Wednesday (Week A only) at 1.30pm in the Learning Resource Centre. All year groups are welcome, especially the new Year 7’s. Bring along a favourite book to share with the group. Our next meeting is this Wednesday 1st October, see you there!

ImmobiTag Electronic Bike Tagging
ImmobiTag Electronic Bike tagging allows any composite or spilt frame bike to be traced back to its owner using the unique ID contained within the electronic tag. The ImmobiTag is embedded into the bike frame and is almost impossible to remove. The unique ImmobiTag ID is then registered on Immobilise together with any frame numbers and warning tag serial numbers to be found on your bicycle.
All tags contain a unique serial number that the Police can read via special scanners to display the owner's information via the National Mobile Property Register, which provides the police with access to the Immobilise system. Used by all UK police forces to trace the ownership of stolen property, the ImmobiTag / Immobilise system is a great deterrent to bikes thieves. Price includes fitting instructions, an anti-theft warning label and free lifetime registration on Immobilise.
