RemediationReportfor Valencia
Whenprevious‐yearhighschoolgraduatesapplyforadmissionasdegreeseekers,theytaketheComputerizedPlacementTest(CPT)requiredbytheStateofFlorida,ortheypresentanACTorSATscore.Thesetestscoresplacethestudentintoeithercollege‐preparatoryorcollege‐levelcoursesinEnglish,reading,ormathematics.Thecollege‐preparatorycoursemaybeatthefirstorsecondlevel;generallythefirstlevelisforuptoninthgradework,whilethesecondlevelisfortenthtotwelfthgradework.Remediationratesarecomputedforprevious‐yearhighschoolgrads(PYHSGs)whoarefirst‐time‐in‐collegedegreeseekers,includingstudentswhoweredualenrolledpriortotheirhighschoolgraduation.Placementlevelsforprevious‐yearhighschoolgraduatesfromtheservicedistrictareshownbelow.

College‐Ready Students for Valencia
One measure of college readiness is when the student is exempt from taking college‐preparatory courses by virtue of scoring above certain scores on the ACT, the SAT, or the Computerized Placement Test (CPT). The number of students scoring above the cut scores for English, reading, and mathematics is shown below. The following table counts all previous‐year high school graduates (PYHSGs) enrolled in Fall 2008 regardless of whether the fall term was their first term of enrollment.
