How Hermione Granger Handles Frustrations.
Hermione is one of the best young good witches around. She enjoys doing well in all her classes at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Hermione is very proud of herself because she is clever. She understands that it is very important to work hard to learn because this helps you to become cleverer. Hermione keeps working hard to become cleverer because this means that she will be a cleverer good witch and she will be able to keep helping Harry keep all the bad witches and wizards away including Voldemort.
However, there are times when Hermione gets frustrated or bored and feels like throwing things or hitting and kicking. She realises that this would be inappropriate and would be the wrong choice.
Hermione knows that if she behaved in this way, there would be severe consequences to her actions that she did not want.
Hermione knows that if she hurt someone, she would no longer be able to attend Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. This would mean thatshe would not be able to keep learning, would not become cleverer and would no longer be one of the best good witches around. She would no longer be able to help Harry when things became difficult with the bad witches and wizards and Voldemort.
Hermione wants everyone to know how important it is to handle frustrations and boredom in appropriate ways and make the right choice.
Hermione began working on her frustrationsbefore she started to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She knew she would only be able to go there if she handled her frustrations in appropriate ways, in the right way. Hermione has advice for all girls who feel frustrated or bored.
The next time you feel frustrated or bored, try doing the following four things that helped Hermione:
- Stop and take a deep breath.
- Use words or show your feelings scale card to tell an adult that you are going to ‘calm time’.
- During ‘calm time’, take time to feel calm by reading or using items from your calm box.
- When you are calm, talk to an adult and work on a solution.
Work on these four things, like Hermione, and you will handle your frustrations and boredom in the right way.
