HERITAGE FRESHMANFOOTBALL 2017

Below is some key information and dates you will need to know going into your freshman year of High School Football.

Summer Program

June 13-20, July 10-13 6pm – 8:30 pm Monday-Thursday

Except the first week we will practice Monday-Thursday at Patriots Stadium. Players should be at the field no later than 5:30 to be prepared to start at 6pm.

Heritage Football Hitting Camp

July 17- August 4th 6pm – 8:30pm Monday-Friday

There is a fee for this portion of the camp ($75). This is a full contact camp. Equipment will be issued (will be the same equipment used in season). This session will build upon the previous session, continuing to teach the offense and defensive system that will be used this season.

School Practice

Once school begins practice will be every day. Mondays we will practice 6pm – 8pm. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we will practice 3:30pm – 5:45pm. Once games begin we will practice Tuesdays and Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:45, and Mondays 6:00pm – 8:00pm, with our games typically on Thursdays at 5:00pm. We do not typically have practices on Fridays, though in some circumstances we may call for a special practice. Note you will need to make arrangements to have your player back on campus at 6pm Tuesday evenings until games start. Once games start we may have film sessions, meals, etc.

Equipment

Heritage will issue Helmets, Mouth guard, Shoulder pads, leg pads, practice jersey, pants, and two game jerseys to each player. The players are responsible to return these items in good condition at the end of the season or they will receive a bill. Additionally, players that quit mid-season will be responsible for the same and will be unable to play another sport until the equipment is returned and checked off.

Players are responsible for: Cleats, athletic supporter, cup, and any other equipment they feel they need (like gloves). For all athletic items (cleats, gloves, under armor), they can only be Black or White, No other colors are acceptable.

Fundraising

There are no fees charged by the school to play football. However, we have two mandatory fundraisers that the players need to participate in. The first is selling cards with coupons. Each player is typically responsible for selling 20 cards and will start in July.

The second fundraiser is an e-mail/letter campaign. Each player will be responsible for bringing 10 e-mail addresses and completing 10 forms with names and addresses for this fundraiser, so please start collecting that information now.

All of these funds go to support the program, helping us buy new uniforms, equipment, etc. As the freshman are just coming into the program they benefit the most in the long run, so please plan to participate. More information to come in July!
