Task1

Create a table that lists the different types of licenses for software. In a second column mention what the legal requirement is for the specific license. In a third column give one example of the mentioned software.

P1

Task 2

You have been tasked with the removal of all non-company purchased software from the machines and installing and upgrading legitimate software.

In not more than 250 words describe the processes involved in installing a major piece of software such as an Operating System.

P2

Task 3

Create an A3 colour poster that will explain what legal software is and the dangers of using illegal software. You can choose any software application to produce your poster, but remember that you will need to save the final work into Word or as a pdf along with the other parts of the assignment. In a box on your poster explain the benefits of software registration.

M1

Task 4

In order to try to prevent staff installing illegal software in the future, prepare a short memo (around 250 words) to go to all staff to explain the benefits and implications of installing software. You should mention benefits of correct installation and registration as well as the possible negative effects of installing unauthorised software which is either illegal or incompatible with existing company software and hardware.
