Dear Parents,

I would like to introduce myself as your Pre-K room parent for this year. My name is Monica and I am the parent of Sean in Mrs. Stolp’s Pre-K 4 class. I am here to help plan any parties, activities, and other responsibilities we as a class might have at St. Mary’s Catholic School. You will receive correspondence throughout the year regarding any needs the Pre-K class may have and I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know all our beautiful children.

Here is a list of a few events we will be coordinating this year:

  1. October: In house, Halloween trick or treat. Mrs. Stolpand Mrs. Shylawill allow the children to take turns handing out treats while other children will collect them. All the treats will be non-food related, thus stamps, pencils, stickers, erasers etc. If any parent wants to supply any non-food related prizes, please drop them off to Mrs. Stolp.
  2. November: The Pre-K 3 and 4 class will need to donate an auction item for Casino Night (Nov. 5) on behalf of the class. Ideally, the item should be something that the kids can get involved in creating and putting together. Mrs. Stolp and I have come up with some ideas and we will need donations to buy supplies etc. I will send a separate email/letter with detailed items that will be required.
  3. December: Christmas party date TBA. We will organize a book exchange amongst the classmates with a budget of $3-5 dollars per book.

These are some of the events at a glance. If anything else comes up I will let you know.

Next there are some items that we need for the classroom:

  1. Brita filter jug (10 cup capcity)
  2. Brita filter refills (3) –that should get us through the year
  3. Let me know if you will be purchasing this ASAP to avoid multiples. Thanks
  4. Optional monetary donation toward daily classroom snack -At the present I have had the privilege to supply the snacks for all the children due to my son’s severe contact and airborne food allergies. If anyone wants to contribute money, I would be happy to use it to purchase snacks, but this is totally optional. I will make sure Mrs. Stolp has everything she needs to provide a daily snack for the children.
  5. Please leave any donations with Mrs. Stolp.

Thank you for allowing me to be room parent, and I am excited to have a great year.

Sincerely,

Monica Agarwal
