Dear Parents,
Welcome to our new families and welcome back to our returning families! I am looking forward to the start of another new year at the John C. Dunham STEM Partnership School! It is my privilege to continue to serve this community as the Director of this innovative educational institution. Our students have a unique opportunity to come together from different schools and school districts to learn and grow under the guidance of public school educators, university professors, and business professionals in an environment grounded in discovery and hands-on experiences. Their learning experiences look different at our school, and we pride ourselves on learning along with our students.
In addition to a rigorous and engaging curriculum, we offer students the opportunity through “Genius Hour” to explore their own interests and passions. The STEM Partnership School depends on all of its stakeholders working in the best interest of our students. If you are in a STEM career and would like to share your expertise with our students, please feel free to contact me to arrange a visit. We encourage you to get involved in your child’s education at home by asking questions about what is going on at school. You will receive updates from your child’s classroom teacher at least twice monthly so that you can guide your discussions at home and become more informed about what your child is experiencing during his/her time at school. I will also send out frequent updates regarding school events, amazing things happening in the classrooms, or important information you should know.
Since STEM incorporates technology, our communication will be done through our website and email. I also plan to create a STEM Partnership School Twitter account this year to share snapshots of our days this year, so please look for more information to come regarding that. I encourage you to get online with us, so you can stay abreast of current happenings. Do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns.

· Open House/Supply Drop Off: August 15, 2017 from 4 pm-5 pm
· Curriculum Night: August 23rd from 6:30 pm-8 pm
· Spring Energy Fair Open House: March 8th from 6 pm-7:30 pm
· PARCC Testing: April 3rd through 13th **Please do not schedule your child to be out of school**
