POSITION:
I Bilingual Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant – School Support Program
HOURS OF WORK:
Permanent 10-month position with summer layoff (July and August)
35 hours per week
LOCATION:
The agency’s Timmins site
HOURLY RATE:
Minimum $27.71 to maximum $34.72 per hour
Salary commensurate with education and experience
CLOSING DATE:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Hands TheFamilyHelpNetwork.ca requires a bilingual Autism Spectrum Disorder Consultant to offer a range of services to school boards and school authorities which include Connections for Students, transition support, resource development and child specific consultation according to Ministry guidelines in various communities through the direction of the Manager for the School Support Program – Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
QUALIFICATIONS:
·  Bachelor degree in Psychology or Human Services and Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA)
·  Minimum two (2) years parallel or three (3) years related work experience in the area of applied behaviour analysis, adult education and Autism Spectrum Disorder
·  Superior knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral principles
·  Skills and experience in planning and providing adult training to organizations
·  Broad knowledge of preschool and school environments
·  Demonstrated ability to use a variety of word processing, database, spreadsheet applications, electronic mail and Internet applications
·  Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates
·  Valid Ontario driver’s license and availability of a reliable vehicle
