Camille & Lucy

Hello there! My name is Camille and this is my daughter Lucy. We live in Virginia in a wonderful community just outside of Richmond. We enjoy the the beauty of the four seasons, world class schools, and it is an all around great place to live.

Family life

I adopted Lucy from the Congo two years ago, when she was two years old. It has been my greatest pleasure to be a mother and we are so looking forward to adding another child to our family.

When I decided to adopt, my mother and I bought a home together. Since I am single, I wanted my children to be surrounded by the love of family.

My brother lives nearby and Lucy relishes her time with him. We all go to the playground, read together, swim, and visit nearby farms in pumkin and berry season. He is such a great influence in Lucy’s life. He has lived all over the world and works as an International Consultant. He received his business degree from Wharton Business School at University of Pennsylvania. He speaks several languages and is teaching Lucy French, the official langauge of her native Congo.

My dad adores Lucy and he loves picking her up from preschool and treating her to lunch, taking us to Disney World, and having all sorts of grandfather/grandaughter activities.

My mother is thrilled to be a grandmother. She and Lucy are best buddies. We are blessed to have her as a part of our lives. Our home provides plenty of room for together time, but also has space for everyone’a individual needs. She is very happy with the prospect of a new addition to our nest.

And the last member of the family is our dog Sandy. He is sweet and gentle and we love him so much.

About me

I grew up in a warm and loving home and was surounded by a large collection of wonderful relatives. Family has always been the most important part of my life. I always dreamed of being a mother and having a family of my own.

I am thirty five and have never been married. I graduated from University with a degree in Social Work. I have my dream job, working as Executive Director of a non-profit which provides meals and services to the homeless and those living in poverty in my community. One of the best things is I am on site for three hours each day and the remainder of the day I work from home.

Being a mother is so rewarding. Lucy is the happiest and most outgoing child I have ever met. She loves life and is eager for every new experience that comes her way. She can’t wait to be a big sister!

I have so much love to share and would so welcome an additional child. My family support system is the best and everyone is thrilled at the prospect of a new child in the family.

Thank you for considering me to mother your precious child. It would be a great honor and privilege to do so. Being a mom means the world to me and I try hard to do my best each and every day.
