Hello River Birch Families!
We are so excited for the 2015-2016 school year!
The River Birch PTO has been busy over the summer planning fundraisers &events for the year ahead!
The school year kicks off with the Ice Cream Social
Tuesday, August 11th from 6-7pm in the Bistro!
For our Fall Fundraiser we will be selling Discover Indy coupon books &Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough. Keep an eye out for more information and the sample coupon book! Sorry, we won’t be able to send home samples of the cookie dough!
The PTO also collects Box Tops for Educationbecause each one is worth $.10!Last year we earned nearly $4,000 just from Box Tops!!!
We can also earn money from Target’s Take Charge of Education! Just by using your Target Red Debit or Credit card, when you designate your school as River Birch, we earn money 1% of every purchase! Just choose River Birch Elementary School:

Most of the money we earn goes towards grants submitted by teachers and our awesome activities we offer free to families!
Speaking of which, other activities we have planned include:
Skating Night at Hot Skates in November.
After Winter break will be Family Game Night in January.
And we are trying something new and we’ll have
a Talent Show the night of our Chili Supper.
Then it will be time for I Love to Read Night.
We would like to invite you to join our team!
Please stop by one of our monthly meetings. They are held the second Tuesday of the month, but are subject to change!
Most PTO meetings are in the evening, but we also have a few morning meetings! Attending meetings helps you to stay informed and provides an excellent opportunity to be connected with the PTO and what is happening at River Birch.
At meetings we also hear grant presentations from teacher applicants.
Our PTO minutes can be found on the River Birch website under the Parents Tab, as well as our current newsletter and other announcements.
If you can’t make every meeting, please consider joining
one of our committees.
We always need people to help with committees like for Teacher & Staff Appreciation, 4th grade farewell, fundraising and for
the activities and events we plan!
