Hello Downtown Chelsea Merchant:
It's hard to believe that the beginning of school is a little more than a month away. That means back to school shopping and the Annual Back to School Event at the Williams School Complex being held on Thursday August 21, 2014. Hundreds of Chelsea school children and their families attend this event in anticipation of school opening on Tuesday August 26th.
The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce is offering an exciting opportunity to attract families attending this event to your downtown business to do their back to school shopping. The Chelsea Chamber of Commerce will hold Sidewalk Sale DaysonFriday August 22, Saturday August 23 and Monday August 25th. Merchants participating in the Sidewalk Sale Days will be identified with balloons. We encourage you to be creative. Offer discounts on merchandise, set up outside sales racks, offer refreshments, decorate, the sky is the limit!! Customers who shop on these days at participating merchants will be eligible to win one of three (3) gift certificates offered by the Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. The gift certificates will be raffled off after the last day of the Sidewalk Sales. Once a shopper makes a purchase at a participating downtown merchant, they will be required to present their dated sales receipt at the Chamber office where they will fill out a chance to be in the drawing. The sales receipt will be marked so we know they have already registered with that receipt. Customers will be allowed one entry per receipt so the more they shop, the more chances they will have to win a gift certificate.
Sidewalk Sale Days will be advertised through numerous mediums; television, newsprint and social media. Flyers will be passed out to those attending the Annual Back to SchoolEvent listing participating merchants. We will do everything possible to make this day exciting and profitable but we need your participation and commitment.

Estimados compañeros de comercio,
Es difícil imaginar que las escuelas abrirán a un poco más de un mes desde ahora. Esto significa que muchos de nosotros comenzamos nuestras compras para la nueva temporada de colegio para nuestros niños. Así mismo, el evento anual “Back to School” (De vuelta al Colegio) que se ejercerá en el Complejo de Williams School el Jueves 21 de agosto, 2014 en la cual será lanzado con anticipación de lo cientos de padres y niños marchando a su escuelas.
La Cámara de Comercio está ofreciendo una maravillosa oportunidad para atraer estas familias a nuestras tiendas en el “downtown” o el centro de nuestra linda ciudad, cosa de hacer las compras para aquellos niños entrando en nuestras escuelas. Con este fin estamos organizando el “Día de Feria de Venta De Veredas” (“Sidewalk Sale Day”)con tres grandes días de actividades comenzando el viernes 22 de agosto, todo el día sábado 23 de agosto, y el lunes 25 de agosto. Aquellos comerciantes que participen en este evento serán identificados con globos al frente de sus tiendas. Queremos alentar su espíritu creativo para mayor ventas, como ofreciendo descuentos en mercancías, puestos vistosos en las aceras, ofreciendo bebidas, helados, en fin todo aquel idea que fomentara participación en el centro. Nuestros patrocinadores que compran en las tiendas y participen en el evento tendrán la gran oportunidad de ganar tres premios de rifa, ganando certificados de regalo. La rifa se llevara a cabo elúltimodía de la feria. El patrón que quiera participar en esta rifa tendrá que ir a la oficina de la Cámara de Comercio con el recibo de compra del comerciante participando en esta feria (el recibo será marcado) y llenar un cupón de rifa. Un cupón por recibo será dado, dando mayor oportunidad a aquellos que hacen más compras.
Esta Feria será publicada en varios medios de comunicaciones como televisión, prensa y medio social de internet. Propaganda será distribuida en las calles y las tiendas en el centro de Chelsea con las lista de todos los comerciantes participando en la feria.
La meta para aplicar en participar en este evento es el lunes 11 de agosto, 2014.
