Heath “Hooter” Carpenter

Heath Carpenter was born on March 18, 1982 in Downers Grove, Illinois to Jay and Pamela Carpenter. He is the middle of three children-giving him an older brother, Ryan, and a younger sister, Elle. Growing up, Heath has always been known as his “family’s mascot.” Everyone in his family looks up to him for leadership advice, including his father, and because of his many challenges throughout life- so do others.

In 2001 Heath got kicked out of Purdue University with a 0.00 GPA. Like many new freshman, he decided to attend more parties than he did classes. This was just the first of many obstacles that Heath had to face. During a two month period, Heath was living out of his very own car because he didn’t have the money to afford a place to live. His parents had moved to Florida and he had decided to stay in Illinois to continue working in local restaurants. His successes in the restaurant business were measured by the opening of two Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants and another local Illinois joint. With these great accomplishments there came some unthinkable choices that led to years of disappointment, which Heath was able to battle all on his own.

With an unforgettable smile and a contagious laugh, Heath is known to all for his huge heart; he never thinks of himself first, but always of others. His want to never get old and regret not doing something or wishing that he did something, has helped him in inspiring others to never give up and to get the most out of life. “I’ll make every mistake there is, but I’ll never make the same mistake twice,” is how he goes about life and he takes others under his wing to help them in turning their lives around the way he has- the hard way.

His carefree personality and drive for success will put Heath right where he wants to be…in Wrigley Field along with a brick that he already has there. His love for the Chicago Cubs has motivated him in returning to school to get his degree and one day become the Event and Venue Manager at Wrigley Field in Chicago. With his “always keep a smile” philosophy and drive to succeed, there is no doubt Heath Carpenter will score it big in the Windy City.
