Extra bonus with the purchase of“GrundgrünerWärmestrom” electricity

Operators of a Vitocal heat pump profit from an extra bonus when they change to “GrundgrünerWärmestrom” electricity ( They get green electricity exclusively from Germany, are not tied to a minimum term of contract, and can be sure of a full price guarantee for twelve months.

External units for air/water heat pumps in split and monoblock design that are as quiet as a whisper

With the innovative, ultra-quiet external units, air/water heat pumps can even be used in densely built-up residential areas. When running at night, their noise pressure level at a distance of three meters is a mere 35 dB(A). Thus, these new external units are by far the quietest of this type and meet the requirements of the German Technical Instructions on Noise Protection (TA Lärm).

Advanced Acoustic Design

This extremely low noise level of the external units is provided by Advanced Acoustic Design (AAD). This means that the frequency spectrum is purposely shifted so that the low tones are in a frequency range that is effectively muffled by the surrounding buildings. What is more, the low-noise fans with a fully variable speed control also do their part.

The double elastic vibration isolation and the acoustically optimized structure of the refrigerant cycle effectively prevent the housing and refrigerant piping from giving off structure-borne noise. This makes it practically impossible for any vibrations to spread to the building.

Low operating costs thanks to high level of efficiency

Apart from the speed-controlled scroll compressor, high levels of efficiency are also guaranteed by the asymmetric dimensions of the heat exchangers. Characteristic of this special heat exchanger layout is that the duct cross-sections on the water side areconsiderably larger than on the refrigerant side. This enhances heat transfer and lowers the amount of electricity consumed by the circulation pump. The new Vitocal 200-S, 222-S and 200-A air/water heat pumps thus achieve a peak COP of up to 5.1 (at A7/W35°Cin accordance withEN 14511).

High quality and modern design

Made in Germany withhigh-quality Viessmann components, these air/water heat pumps are guaranteed to have a long lifespan. Thanks to their timeless, modern design and elegant, anthracite gray color, they clearly set themselves apart from conventional external units from the Far East. They harmonize with almost every house front.

Installationandservice

Their low noise level allows these external units to be installed almost regardless of the specific structural conditions, such as in densely built-up townhouse complexes. Owing to the sound-deadening refrigerant cycle, no additional steps are necessary to prevent structure-borne noise. This makes installation much easier. Service is also particularlyuncomplicated, since all relevant components are easily accessible.

The new Vitocal 200-S and 222-S split-design air/water heat pumps are by far the quietest units of their type. This means they can be used without any problems even in densely built-up areas where conventional split-design heat pumps cannot, such as townhouse complexes.

Innovative noise reduction concept

Both internal and external Vitocal 200-S and 222-S units have been redesigned. With their innovative noise reduction concept, Advanced Acoustic Design (AAD), these units are quieter than refrigerators and meet the requirements of the German Technical Instructions on Noise Protection (TA Lärm).

Available as wall-mounted and compact unit

Vitocal 200-S is the space-saving wall-mounted unit, Vitocal 222-S the compact unit with an integrated 220-liter DHW cylinder. As compact internal units, both contain all the essential components for transferring heat to the heating and DHW generationsystems.

Both heat pumps are offered in versions for heating only or for both heating and cooling, as desired. In the versions with cooling, the refrigerant cycle switches over so that cool water is available to the building in the summertime. Depending on the external unit, the heat output amounts to between 4 and 12 kW (at A-7/W35°C), the cooling capacity between 3 and 9 kW (A35/ W 18°C). The maximum flow temperature for heating is 60°Celsius, for cooling either 18°C (floor heating) or 7°C (for example, fan coil unit) as desired.

High level of efficiency at low electricity costs

Speed-controlled scroll compressors and asymmetrically dimensioned heat exchangers with optimized duct cross-sections in the condenser enable a COP of up to 5.1 (at A7/W35°C in accordance withEN 14511). This makes for low electricity consumption and accordingly low electricity costs. The units are ranked in the highest energy efficiency class, A++.

Comfortable control, even with an app, if desired

The Vitotronic control of the split-design heat pumps enables comfortable, intuitive control. The large illuminated display shows operating times and heating curves in the form of easy-to-read graphs, and notifications are displayed in clear text. If the home has a Vitovent 300-W or 300-F centralized ventilation system, it can control that, as well.

If desired, the heat generators can also be controlled on a smartphone with the easy-to-install Vitoconnect Internet interface and the free ViCare app, available as accessories. Temperatures and individual heating times can then be quite simply remote controlled.

Vitocal 060-A: hot water heat pump for efficient DHW generation

Heat domestic water efficiently and affordably with the newVitocal 060-A hot water heat pump. It is suitable for new and existing buildings alike, and ideal for applications where the ambient air is to be cooled, such as in a food storeroom or a wine cellar.

A choice ofusing recirculating air or outside air

As a recirculating air heat pump, the Vitocal 060-A uses the air directly from the room in which it is installed. Heat is taken from the ambient air and brought to a higher temperature by the heat pump to heat the water in the cylinder up to as much as 62degreesCelsius. Cooling the ambient air also reduces its level of humidity, which protects the building fabric and enhances the quality of the indoor environment.

With the outside air adapter, the heat pump can easily be converted to outside air operation. This can be necessary especially to keep it from cooling off new buildings with good thermal insulation. The heat pump works efficiently up to an outside air temperature of minus 5degrees Celsius.

Equipment configurations

This compact unit is equipped with all the components needed for efficient DHW generation. The heat pump module, 250-liter DHW cylinder, and the control are all accommodated in a space-saving casing. As an option, the heat pump can be supplied with a dry connected immersion heater and an integral coiled tube heat exchanger for connecting an external heat generator. This enables the water to be heated with electricity from a photovoltaic system for instance, with the heat from the boiler, or with solar power.

Heat pump can run on electricity from photovoltaic systems

The new hot water heat pump is equipped to be integrated into an intelligent electricity network (smart grid ready) and to run on self-generated electricity from a photovoltaic system. This means a maximum of self-generated electricity can be used and the need to buy electricity from the gridis considerably reduced.

Variable control

The Vitocal 060-A is fully operational when delivered. The basic settings on the control can easily be changed using the integrated control element and adjusted to suit the individual needs of the user. Thus, there are various heating programs available for efficient DHW generation.

Vitocal 350-HT Pro: innovative high-temperature heat pump for using waste heat

In industry and commerce, the environmentally compatible recovery of unused waste heat from processes holds great potential for saving energy and CO2. Up to 140 terawatt-hours of waste heat could be recovered each year from industrial processes in Germany. This could supply around seven million households with heat. Viessmann has designed the Vitocal 350-HT Pro heat pumpto make use of this energy.

The Vitocal 350-HT Pro produces flow temperatures of up to 90degrees Celsius at heat source temperatures of up to 50degrees Celsius. This makes it suitable for the simultaneous utilization of waste heat and generation of process heat (heat transformer). Another efficient application is to use it to offset line loss in older local heating networks. For this purpose, the temperature is raised with the Vitocal 350-HT Pro longitudinally along the network.

Climate-friendly refrigerant that does not harm the ozone layer

With the new R1234ze HFO refrigerant, the mass-produced heat pump already meets the climate requirements that will apply starting in 2020. R1234ze has a global warming potential (GWP) of only six, making it especially climate-friendly compared to conventional refrigerants with a GWP of 1000, and does not harm the atmosphere’s protective layer of ozone.
