The vision of HealthFinders Collaborative is that everyone in our community has access to the healthcare they need. In pursuit of this vision, the mission is to provide quality healthcare, advocacy and wellness education to people in our community who have limited healthcare alternatives.

Dates: 10 hours per week for the 2016-2017 School Year

Evaluation

All of the programs at HealthFinders need to be evaluated regularly to ensure they are meeting the goals of the individual programs and being received well by both the participants and the staff and volunteers coordinating them. To do this we use multiple methods of collecting and analyzing data. We work with partners on several of these efforts. Communication and documentation are the main focus areas of this role. There is a variety of activities carried out by the Evaluation Coordinator that would benefit from assistance. Attention to detail, organization and clear communication skills are extremely important to this position. Additionally, someone who is outgoing and feels comfortable talking to new people would do well in this role.

Description

The position is to assist with evaluation activities for each program, the clinic, and the board of directors.

Key areas of work are listed below and would be applicable to different programs at different times throughout the year:

·  Learning and communicating research

·  Data set up and entry

·  Data management and tracking assistance

Qualifications

Experience and/or coursework in statistics, public health practice, health psychology, or related fields is preferred. Language proficiency in English and Spanish is very strongly preferred. The successful applicant must be flexible and able to work across cultures to foster a safe and trusting environment for program participants. Other qualifications include a strong participant-centered focus, self-drive, the ability to collaborate with community members, participants, and local professionals, and the motivation to continue a lasting and sustainable program in line with the HealthFinders mission. Self-transportation around Northfield and Faribault is helpful.
