Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the management and execution of multiple medium to large-sized projects relatedto process improvement and will lead smaller projects independently as assigned.
  • Define project scope based on the strategic plan and champion/stakeholder needs, develop comprehensive business requirements, and establish key deliverables and success metrics
  • Plan, organize, monitor and control projects using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring efficient and effective identification and utilization of internal and external resources
  • Gather project requirements and conduct business process and data analysis. Produce process documentation, and design and propose improved process flows.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved on and task activity is monitored through a detailed project work plan
  • Effectively manage projects through expertise in resource planning, work breakdown, voice of customer, risk/issue management, financial management, implementation planning, technology delivery, user testing, training, communication and post-implementation control planning and monitoring
  • Effectively work with business partners to identify challenges and develop project solutions and implementation plans.
  • Drive execution of initiatives by effectively delegating, quickly removing roadblocks, instilling focus and holding self and project teams accountable for results
  • Proactively work to prevent and/or resolve problems/issues/risks, develop mitigation strategies and know if, when, to whom and how to effectively escalate issues or roadblocks
  • Champion and leverage project management and change management tools to drive the utilization of required processes and methodologies
  • Integrate project-related programs/processes with other related business initiatives and processes
  • Manage communications related to project statuses
  • Plan, prepare for and effectively facilitate project team meetings and presentations

Key Responsibilities/Key Results Areas

  • Project management & implementation:
    Manage a range of projects to ensure deliverables are in-scope, and on-time. Manage the project life cycle from discovery to delivery. Responsible for active management of expectations and communications. Assume overall responsibility for project scope, scope control, project plans, timelines, implementation status reports and documentation.
  • Relationship Management:
    Build rapport and credibility with internal and external teams. Flex to the needs of numerous internal stakeholders / clients. Drive satisfaction and deepen relationships. Create production schedules, project status reports and other relevant project management documentation to manage internal and expectations and keep projects on track.
  • Communication:
    Create an environment of open communication between the interactive team, project leads, business and IT partners. Work proactively to prioritize project implementations, workload, and technical issues with each of the different groups.
  • Tools and Processes:
    Responsible (as needed) to manage the creation and management of tools and processes, as well as project documentation and templates.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • 5 years of project management. Effective management skills with ability to build and motivate teams, and assign and monitor work.
  • Strong organization, presentation and interpersonal skills and experience in working directly with customers to rapidly implement solutions
  • Ability to multi-task, and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, proven relationship management experience and excellent organizational ability with close attention to detail and process
  • Ability to work efficiently and prioritize as necessary and work with operations to prioritize their activities successfully
  • Solid project management discipline and software expertise (MS Project, Sharepoint or similar)
  • Positive and proactive work ethic, can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to be both a collaborative team player as well as strong self-starter and individual contributor comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment

Desired Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
