Applications are invited for two 12-month LAT CT2 posts on the Core Psychiatry training programme within Health Education Thames Valley to commence on 7 August 2013 until 5 August 2014.
Any other LAT CT2 vacancies arising within Core Psychiatry in Health Education Thames Valley between now and the date of interview may be filled from applicants applying to this advertisement.
The Core Psychiatry training programme is located in a number of different Trusts across the Health Education Thames Valley and trainees may find themselves at any of the following locations during the programme:

Ascot: Heatherwood Hospital
Slough: Wexham Park Hospital
Wokingham: Wokingham General Hospital
The post specialties may be any of the following:
General (Adult) Psychiatry
Older Adult Psychiatry
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Learning Disability Psychiatry
Forensic Psychiatry
Medical Psychotherapy
The posts on this rotation have been approved for specialist training by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Doctors who are not UK or EEA nationals but whose immigration status entitles them to work without restriction in the UK will be considered on an equal basis with UK and EEA nationals. Other non-UK or non-EEA nationals with limited leave to remain in the UK and whose employment will require Tier 2 sponsorship are subject to the Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT). Applicants may only be considered if there is no suitable UK or EEA national candidate for the post. Evidence of immigration status should normally consist of a biometric residence card, date stamped passport and accompanying letter from the Home Office.

Pay scales
All trainees should be paid monthly at the rates set out in the national terms and conditions of service for hospital medical and dental staff and doctors in public health medicine and the community health service (England and Wales), “the TCS”, as amended from time to time. The payscales are reviewed annually. Part-time posts will be paid prorata. Current rates of pay for junior doctors may be viewed on the NHS Employers website.
