Sport Premium Funding

The Sport Premium Funding 2016/17 allocation for Hockliffe Lower School was £8,289

The Sport Premium Funding 2017/18allocation for Hockliffe Lower School is£13,015

Aims

The funding will be used to promote high quality PE for all children in the school and enhance their opportunities to take part in competitive and non-competitive sport. It will promote positive values for life. It will ensure the pupils understand the benefits of sport for better health and fun leisure time activities.

Provision

The school will prioritise the subscription to the Leighton Linslade School Sports Partnership in order to achieve the targets set out in the Sports Premium Impact review.

Any remaining funds will be used to…

  • maintain and increase lunchtime and after school sports provision for the children
  • organising and supervising children’s participation in level 1 and 2 competitive sporting events
  • promote high quality teaching of a variety of sports
  • promote health and fitness of children during the school day
  • materials to promote the Sainsbury’s School Games values

Measuring Success

  • Children will access lunchtime and after school fitness and sport opportunities
  • All children in KS2, and at least 50% of KS1 children will have the opportunity to attend a level 2 sport competition
  • Year 4 young leaders and Bronze Sports ambassadors will take responsibility for the organisation of Level 1 competitions and lunchtime fitness challenges which promote a healthier life style
  • Children will make good progress in a wide range of sports.
  • Children will understand the importance of keeping fit to maintain good health and know how to achieve this
  • Less active children will begin to participate in more ‘Physical Activity’
  • Children will express enjoyment, interest and increased participation in sport
  • There will be a wide range of equipment children can access to keep fit and participate in a variety of sports
  • The school will achieve the Sainsbury’s School Games Gold Award for the 5th year
