Order No.85 Annual Dinner 2001
The Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps Annual Dinner will be held on Saturday, 8 December, 2001 from 1900 to 2330 in the Zetland Hall, 1 Kennedy Road, Hong Kong Island. Up to 100 members and guests can be accommodated. Reservation of places is now invited from colleagues on a first-come-first-serve basis at $300 per head. Interested colleagues please complete the reply slip obtained from HQ or downloaded from the HKACC website, and forward it along with a advance payment in the form of a crossed cheque (with payee being your parent unit), to HQ (Attn: WO Wong S M, AA[GR]1) not later than Monday, 26 November, 2001. Refund will be made in case of over-subscription.
Dress Code for the evening is :
No 8 Mess Dress (with miniature medals); or
No 1 Service Dress (with full size medals); or
Lounge Suit (with full size or miniature medals)

Order No.86 Performance Appraisal
The Performance Appraisal Exercise 2001 for all senior members will be held in November and December, 2001. The results of the appraisal will assure the quality of the Corps' services, and will be taken into consideration by the Executive Board and Commanding Officer when deciding on recommendations for promotions, honours, decorations, medals or commendations. In conducting the performance appraisal exercise, will colleagues please comply with the following arrangement

Appraisal forms can be obtained from HQ or downloaded from the HKACC website. The absolute deadline for submission of appraisal report to CO (Attn: Mr Tommy Au Yeung, AA[GR]2) is Saturday, 15 December, 2001. Senior members who have not undergone the performance appraisal exercise will not be considered for promotion, honours, decorations, medals or commendations in the year 2002.
Order No.87 Logging of Duty Hours by Senior Members
Colleagues are reminded that the deadline for the submission of duty hours logs for the year 2001 by senior members to the Commanding Officer (Attn: Mr Tommy Au Yeung, AA[GR]2) is 15 January, 2002. Senior members who do not satisfy the annual efficiency requirement (100 duty hours) in 2001 will not be considered for promotion, honours, decorations, medals or commendations in the year 2002, and will forfeit one year’s seniority for the purpose of accumulating efficient service toward the Hong Kong Cadet Forces Medal.

Order No.88 Promotion Exercise for Senior Members
Recommendations are now invited from Group Commanders (including Liaison Officer and Honorary Officer Coordinator) for the promotion of senior members under their command. Any of the following four types of promotion may be recommended:
(a) from Flying Officer to Flight Lieutenant;
(b) from Pilot Officer to Flying Officer;
(c) from Warrant Officer for direct appointment to either Pilot Officer or Flying Officer; and
(d) from Instructor to Warrant Officer.
Interviews for candidates shortlisted for promotion from Fg Off to Flt Lt and from WO to Plt Off/Fg Off will be held in late December. Interview is not required for promotion from Plt Off to Fg Off, and from Instr to WO.
Recommendations should reach SO/OC Admin via A(GR) not later than Saturday, 15 December, 2001. Late recommendations will not normally be accepted. All recommendations will be screened by SO/OC Admin against established promotion criteria before submission to the Commanding Officer for his consideration. Candidates who have not undergone performance appraisal for the year 2001 will not be considered. In case of enquiries, please contact SO/OC Admin.
Order No.89 Acting Appointment – Senior Members
The Commanding Officer has been pleased to approve the appointment of Flt Lt Asly Au Yeung and Flt Lt John M Siu to the acting rank of Squadron Leader with effect from 1 January, 2002 until further notice, whilst serving in the capacity of Officer Commanding Wing.
Order No.90 Appointment – Full Time Staff
The Commanding Officer has approved the appointment of Mr Tommy Au Yeung as Assistant Administrator (General Registry) 2 (AA[GR]2) with effect from 19 November, 2001. Mr Au Yeung is responsible for financial control, quality assurance, and management information. With Mr Au Yeung joining the GR Team, WO Wong S M will be re-designated as Assistant Administrator (GR)1 (AA[GR]1), whose main responsibility is membership, supply, operations and training.
