Are you imaginative, compassionate, an exceptional teacher, and above all someone with enormous charisma, enthusiasm and energy? We are looking for such a person to join our fun, forward thinking, innovative and exceptional school.

Set in the vibrant, cosmopolitan university town of St Andrews, and situated moments from stunning beaches, St Leonards Junior School (member of HMC and IAPS) has proudly positioned itself at the forefront of an education fit for the 21stCentury. Our commitment to the International Baccalaureate sets the tone for our exceptional teaching and learning, fearless approach to consistently evolving, breadth of opportunities for pupils and, above all, an approach to pastoral care that puts the wellbeing and happiness of pupils first.Preparing children for the opportunities, both cultural and geographic, that a global world brings must sit at the heart of the curriculum, and the Primary and Middle Years programme offer a genuine opportunity for pupils to unleash their creativity and curiosity; an education that encourages the notion of ‘dare to be different’ and places compassion at the heart of the learning.

We are seeking an impressive Modern Linguist, preferably with Spanish and French, to join our wonderful school community. With our commitment to professional learning and staff collaboration, you would join a happy and forward thinking team who share a strong optimism and passion for young people and education.

Shaping the French curriculum from Years 1-6, and playing a major role in the continued development of the Middle Years Programme, you will play a major role in the next stage of the school’s exciting Development Plan.

In addition to the role as a form tutor and classroom teacher, we seek someone who will roll up their sleeves and throw themselves into the extra-curricular life of the school. A can do attitude and strong sense of humour are essential pre-requisites for all staff at
St Leonards.

We are positioning ourselves as one of the leading co-educational, independent schools in the world, and seek to appoint someone with exceptional qualities to join the team and make a difference to the imaginative young people we educate.

Interested candidates are encouraged to telephone the Junior School Headmaster directly for an informal chat.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
