1st/5th Period:

When the majority of the activity materials are cleaned up and/or when the first child goes to the circle you need to be at the circle to monitor the children there. (Your support teacher will continue to assist the remaining children at the tables.)

Plan and execute large motor activities that can be done within the confines of the classroom.

Support Teacher Assist children in cleaning up table activity and moving to circle. When all children are at circle … needs to be an example of what the children are supposed to be doing. Redirect children who are not participating. Be lively and active… make it look like fun so the children will want to participate.

8:56-9:05 Director/Specialist takes over large motor activity presently engaged in - at the conclusion takes them to get a drink.

2nd/6th Period:

Head Teacher Be at circle ready to begin. Make sure your center materials and instructions have been placed in the appropriate gray bin at least the class period before so your support teacher(s) may set up centers.

Support Teacher Set up centers and then go to circle

Head Teacher follows the circle time routine in Lesson Plan Book then present your planned theme activity.

Support Teacher needs to help redirect children who are not participating (talking to each other, playing with each other, leaving circle…)

9:20-bell

Head Teacher and Support Teacher

Monitor/Play with children at learning centers. Extend their play through open-ended questions, scaffolding learning… Remind them to clean up their toys before moving on to another center.

Bell-10:30 Director/Specialist takes over and children clean-up centers.

Monitor/Play with children on the playground. Help solve disputes. You may plan outdoor activities to engage in with the children. When Bell Rings - DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL AN ADULT COMES OUT. (If weather is too bad to go out simply remain at centers until bell and then Director/Specialists will take over.)

3rd/7th Period:

10:30-10:45

Head Teacher Be at circle ready to begin. Lead children in Love Ritual (*all love rituals are in orange lesson plan folder. We will rotate through them monthly) Executes planned social skills lesson. You may plan your own lesson or use prepared lessons from kit/book (you need to look it over and know it before hand).

Support Teacher Needs to help children finish cleaning up centers and make their way to the rug. Redirect children at rug who are not participating (talking to each other, playing with each other, leaving circle…)

10:45 -11:15

Head Teacher and Support Teacher

Monitor/Play with children on the playground. (Bad weather - go in hallway and use lesson prepared by head teacher.) Help solve disputes. You may plan outdoor activities to engage in with the children.

11:15-11:20

Head Teacher Remain in the bathroom area and help with bathroom break. Make sure hands are washed. Help with getting paper towels. Help button pants, etc…

Support Teacher Go into room and monitor children as the hang up coats and sit down at the tables. (they are to keep their hands in their laps until it is time to serve lunch)

11:20-11:45

Monitor Lunch

Sit at the table with the children and direct them to begin passing serving bowls - - Lunch is family style (self-serve). Each child may take one scoop/piece from each serving bowl and continues to pass bowl to the left until all children have been served. Then everyone may open their milk and eat. Children may ask for more and eat until food is gone. Engage in conversation while they are eating.

When first child finishes

Support Teacher monitor children as they go to the bathroom (everyone must try and go), wash face and hands, dump sand into trash can and, then look at a book quietly in the library.

11:45 or when 3 of more children are in the library (whichever comes first) –bell

Head Teacher have children in library move to circle for story time. Read stories on your lesson plan.

Support Teacher continue to monitor children at the tables and in the bathrooms. Wipe down tables when all children have finished.

Bell-12:00

Director/Specialist takes over reading stories. And put children down for naps

Head Teacher perform assigned cleaning tasks. Monitor children who are napping/laying quietly on mats. Assist with other tasks as assigned by Director/Specialist, Run errands for Director/Specialist, Work on Lesson Plans

1:15-1:55

Head Teacher plans and executes quiet table activities for those who are awake.

Support Teacher assist in activities and continue monitoring those who are sleeping. Put mats away as children wake up. Take off sheets and pillow cases and put on clean ones -- on assigned laundry days (Wed top row –Thu bottom row)

2:00-2:15

Infants Teacher #1 and #2 Engage with all infants in the infant enclosure (this is every child whose locker is within the infant enclosure and Kohen)

Infants Teacher #1 wash hands of those who eat breakfast and place in highchairs – put on aprons

Diapers/Potty Teacher bring those children who are potty training to the bathroom – Mark charts and poster, assist in putting on aprons

Music Teacher bring other toddlers (those not potty training) and help them wash their hands, assist in putting on aprons

8:20-8:40

Infants Teacher #1 Change remaining infants’ diapers – mark charts and poster #2 Engage with remaining infants in the infant enclosure (follow individual schedules)
