Main purpose of role:

To support staff to secure income from philanthropic donors and partners

Background:

We are looking for administration support to help the trusts and major

gifts team during a particularly busy time. This will include supporting the development and delivery of Target Ovarian Cancer’s mid-level fundraising programme, the 360 Club.

You will assist with the day-to-day processes required to run asuccessful trusts and major gifts fundraising programme, includingprospect research, submitting applications and stewardship including thank you letters and updates for supporters. You will maintain accurate records on our database and track actions and outcomes, through the use and development of queries and reports.

The role will also include providing support for the planning,preparation, delivery and follow-up of major donor events,both fundraising and stewardship events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting and stewardship

Maintain accurate records of gifts and restrictions both on paper and through the database

Generate tailored thank you letters in response to donations

Create simple reports for donors, tailored to their interests and requirements

Support the development and delivery of the mid-value, 360 Club, including working closely with other members of the fundraising department to identify prospects

Work with the team to ensure all data held on the database is compliant with regulations

Events

Assist in the planning and administration of Target Ovarian Cancer’s special events

Provide support for supporters undertaking ‘in aid of’ special events

Take bookings for events, providing excellent supporter care, ensuring information is provided in good time and recorded accurately on the Raiser’s Edge database

Provide logistical support such as arranging couriers and organising materials for events

Other duties

Help out at fundraising events from time to time

Work closely with other members of the fundraising department to provide support across the team when required

Develop a knowledge of ovarian cancer and understanding of Target Ovarian Cancer’s work

Act as an ambassador for the department and the charity as a whole, internally and externally

Put the supporter at the heart of all we do

Undertake other relevant duties as required.

Knowledge / Demonstrated experience as an administrator / Experience of managing administration of
