The Mathematics Faculty is a flourishing and well-resourced department. All girls take the Edexcel IGCSE Mathematics qualification in Year 11 and the current Year 10 students in Set 1 are also preparing for Additional Maths FSMQ to be taken alongside the IGCSE course.

The programme of study at Key Stages 3 and 4 is based around, but not solely upon, the National Curriculum. We use a variety of resources including ICT, to differentiate learning according to need. Students can study AS Mathematics (2-year course), A Level Mathematics, AS Further Mathematics or A level Further Mathematics if they wish. The Faculty’s examination results at Advanced Level have also been consistently excellent. In 2017, 86.7% of Mathematics students and 83.3% of the Further Maths group gained grade B and above at A2.
