In modern day America in a democratic society we feel we can place men into power by the hand of man. We feel that is our right and we control. The bible is very clear that all power comes from God. There is no power but that which God has given. He can change leadership at will. Note in 2 Peter 2:10 the word chiefly is used and names (a.) despise government, and (b.) speaking evil of dignities. Do we realize that we are speaking evil of those that God has put in power or allowed to be in power? It may be that the powers that be are for our chastisement or judgment.

Israel was a small nation but God had promised them many blessings that would be given them if they would follow his statutes, commandments and His word.
Deu. 11:10 ¶For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:
Deu. 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
23And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;
24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.
OPINION: It would be as easy for God to change our leadership as it would have been for the Egyptians to kick a board and divert their irrigation in the fields. The only reason that we do not have Godly leaders is that we have not been righteous and ungodly leaders are given to an ungodly nation. When we repent, turn from our evil ways and return unto God then and only then will He give us righteous leaders.
CONCLUSION:
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
It seems in modern day America it is common place for many people to speak ill of dignities, despise dominion over us, and despise government. They may be doing wrong and contrary to the Bible but as old Israel cried for a king and they were given a king. If we love evil rather than righteousness then God may very well give us leaders that would lead us wrong for our chastisement or judgment.
PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLICATION: To make an awareness that we are living in the last days of the last days. The coming of Jesus Christ, the son of the living God is at the doors.
