2016 Support Staff Learning Exchange Trip (University of Victoria)

The University of Manitoba Support Staff Endowment Fund Committee and Human Resources invites’ you to participate in the 18th Annual Support Staff Learning Exchange Trip. The SSEF and UofM Administration and Learning and Organizational Development, will partially sponsor a fieldtrip to University of Victoria, Victoria BC. The cost of this trip to your department/unit will be approximately $1,000/persondepending on the number of applicants. The exact cost of the trip will be communicated to the departments after the application deadline. The cost of the trip includes return airfare from Winnipeg to Victoria, return ground transportation from the airport to the hotel, shared accommodations (double occupancy), transportation to and from Victoria, Friday evening reception, Saturday excursion, and the invaluable professional development.

This trip is an opportunity to meet your UofM colleagues, gain knowledge from your University of Victoriacounterpart, share experiences, and exchange ideas. Your application will be considered if you:

have not participated in an exchange trip recently

are a U of M support staff (employed a minimum 50% position as defined by Human Resources Dept.)

have the support of your unit or faculty

Priority selection will be given to first time applicants as per the SSEF Terms of Reference; Space is limited so APPLY NOW! Successful applicants will be notified when selections have been finalized. SSEF committee members are listed on the website and may be contacted for additional information.

A one-page job description is to be included, please focus ondefining your role and the different processes that you are responsible for. It is important that we have an accurate representation of your role so that we can ensure that you are paired with an appropriate match at the U of Vic.Please include FOAP numbers with signatures, ID charges will appear on your October MOR.

Cancellations are subject to Carlson Wagonlit Travel cancellation fees.Cancellations close to the date of the trip may be subject tofulltravel costs.

Note: Applicants should expect to incur some personal expenses. Attendance at all group functions, including Friday evening reception and Saturday excursion is expected.
