Principal Report

-Overview of the meeting and new format

-Blacktop resurfaced

-Roof repair and tuck-pointing

-New fire alarm installed

-Intercom installed

-Filtered drinking fountains installed on the second floor

-Teachers working on instructional content: instructional enhancements in reading, writing, and math

-Mrs. Polley full time instructional coach to assist with curriculum and delivery

-Meeting the need of our students through new and innovation instruction

-Opportunity gap is closing quickly across the board not teaching towards the middle: Differentiation

PTO Business

-Annual report announced, discussed and posted

-Ms. Klemp: request paining the chalk walls in the art room $450-Approved

-Mr. Perkins: request 4th grade spelling city three licenses purchased in addition to seat back pouches $248-Approved

Mrs. Wren: request chair back pockets for five kids $143.50-Approved

Ms. Ficca: scissors and two seatback pouches $42.14-Approved

Yoko Terretta: request for Donna Washington of IL Storytelling to perform two shows during the school days $200-Approved

-Vote to approve the funding:All approved

-9/16 Golf outing past and was well received raised over $3200

-9/19 Taste of Hatch huge turn out well receive

Upcoming Events

-Book Fair led by Sharon Morgan

-Book fair monies will go to the library this fall in scholastic dollars

-Fair dates are October 16th-20thneed volunteers; please sign up for a slot and bring kids as they are welcomed

-Open chair positions available

-Halloween Disco chair needs help with Haunted Hallway 10/27

-Fun Fair needs a co-chair

-Beautification efforts led by Heather Guido needs volunteers to assist with curb appeal for the front entrance
