PRESENT: FRANKLIN ALLAIRE, GAIL PEITERSEN, JIM REDMOND, MICHELLE KUWAYE, RICK JONES, JENNY KUWAHARA, ANDY BARNES, ANDREW VAN DER WEGE (CAMP ERDMAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR)

MEETING STARTED AT 11:20

ANDREW AGREE TO SERVE AS AN OFFICER OR LIAISON.

RICK ON CONFERENCE: 14 LUNCH ORDERS SO FAR; 16 SESSIONS TOTAL FOR CONFERENCE; LONGER TIME BETWEEN SPEAKER AND SESSIONS FOR EXHIBITS. JOE LASZLO MIGHT HAVE A TABLE FOR MAKE AND TAKE IN THE SAME AREA. POSSIBLY A BRIDGE (MADE OF CARDS- PROBLEM SOLVING) EXHIBIT.

MAIN SPEAKER WILL FOCUS ON NEXT GEN STDS, PROF DEVELOP/ FUNDING AVAILABLE FROM NOAA (HAWAII MIGHT ADOPT NEXT GEN STDS). PEG IS AVAILABLE TO TALK TO SCHOOL GROUPS; CONTACT RICK.

RE: CONFERENCE. RICK HAS LOGOS FROM SPONSORS (JPEG) AND GAIL WILL PRINT HARD COPIES OF PROGRAM TO HAND OUT TO ATTENDEES. RICK AND LAUREN WILL FINALIZE PROGRAM.

ALL BOARD MEMBERS HAVE ADMIN ACCESS TO CHANGE APRICOT WEBSITE AND ARE ENCOURAGED TO UPDATE AS NECESSARY.

LAPTOPS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT CONFERENCE FOR CHECK IN. GAIL WILL PROVIDE COMPUTERS.

ELECTIONS: REVISIONS ARE UP ON WEBSITE. JEN WILL MAKE THE BALLOT AND GAIL WILL PRINT. NOMINATIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE TAKEN ON LINE.

general session: 8-9:30. suggested 8:00 welcome; 8:10-8:20 sponsor thanks ; speaker till 9:20; then HECO drawing, election results, ; looping Powerpoint on screen at beginning will have names of sponsors, winners of awards and grants starting at 7:45, Jim will make.

Jenny will do some screen shots and make a flyer tutorial on apricot website.

10:00-11 session 1

11-11:30 exhibits/ refreshments/swap meet

11:30-12:30 session 2

12:30-45 swap meet, lunch

12:45-1 door prize drawing

1-1:30 lunch, swap meet

Lei will be picked up by Gail (kukui nut)

for: Peg, 4 teacher awardees, 2 for HECO

Franklin will drop off name tags for exhibitors

Refreshments: Franklin sent out an email for volunteer

Franklin will furnish coffee, tea, milk and coffee maker. Gail

will have hot water, cups, utensils;

Lunch will be bento, Jennie will pick up. Preordered on line on website.

Registration: Barbara, Consuelo, Michelle, Andy will do

Andy will bring t-shirts for sale

ballots will be at registration, along with ambassador nominations;

Bags to pack: college of ed plastic bags or cloth from waikiki aq. will contain schedule/map, tickets for door prizes, flyers; HaSTA pencils.

Friday 13th: After bag stuffing, take Peg and a few other local NOAA out from 6-7:30 with board. Marylou is arranging site.

Marylou got hotel for Peg

Record low number for exhibitor tables.

Jim is willing to redirect from website to apricot website. He will post on apricot site. Membership will be set up to reflect month of renewal.

Meeting was adjourned at 1:05 after a wonderful pot luck lunch.
