With a Harley and HASCO through the Sauerland

The HASCO Sauerland Run is a legendary event that has acquired cult status in the meantime. Customers and employees of the Lüdenscheid-based company met up for three days to cruise through delightful landscapes in addition to partying and engaging in discussions. In so doing, they experienced the HASCO brand values of agility, innovation, simplicity and performance.

The Sauerland Run in 2016 went right across the hilly Bergisches Land and south as far as Boppard on the Rhine, before returning to Lüdenscheid via Cologne. The burning question in the run-up to the 2017 tour: where are we off to this time, and what’s on the programme?

Once again, the participants met up at the HASCO premises in Lüdenscheid. From there, the first port of call was Hagen, to pick up the bikes. The Harleys were all standing in a row, awaiting their riders – an impressive sight that lit up everyone’s eyes. From one second to the next, toolmakers, mouldmakers, product developers and sales specialists suddenly became full-blooded bikers. After a brief introduction, and once participants had donned their motorbike leathers, the engines were switched on.

The first destination that evening was Attendorn am Biggesee in the southern Sauerland. That meant some 70 kilometres of gentle bends, through delightfully green countryside. The night was spent at Schnellenberg castle, with a long-distance view over the town and the surrounding Sauerland.

After a hearty bikers’ breakfast on Saturday morning, it was time to set off for the next destination: the American Cafe & Restaurant Geronimo, overlooking the Möhnesee. This stage thus took participants right across the Hochsauerland, with its special charms for bikers and nature lovers.

And there was a special highlight on the Saturday evening programme: the Bike Week in Willingen, with live bands on two stages, the Harley Davidson Show Truck and Dealer Area, the “Bikers Inn” party tent, the Food Mile, plus a great deal more.

Participants were enthralled by the three very exciting days, with countless bends, impressive landscapes, delicious food and excellent conversations. After getting back on the Sunday, everyone found it hard to say goodbye. They are thus looking forward all the more to the new destinations for the 2018 HASCO Sauerland Run.

As an internationally leading supplier of modular standard components and accessories for tool and mouldmaking, HASCO repeatedly shows its customers how much it identifies with its local region through events such as the Sauerland Run.
